I thought AnCap was the end of my default lefty-->questioning-->basic bitch republican--> generic conservative--> Minarchist--> AnCap progression. There could be none more enlightened about the nature of the State.

But there's more, SO so much more. I don't know what I am now, but labels be damned anyway. I blame you personally for my current state. :)

Hey Pete, two cents.

It's probably the case that the episodes with Bird have lower numbers because they're simply more exclusive and more difficult to engage with.

I haven't personally read much postmodern philosophy myself, the closest I can come is someone like Nietzsche, so going in cold is rough going, but it gets easier. It takes a few listens through to start to get something more like a clear picture.

That being said, I think that we should welcome the challenge. Shit is getting really weird and really sketchy really fast, so if we have to go to some weird and difficult places to find new tools that might help us survive, I'm all about it. Always down for a mindblow or two.

Also, Bird just seems like a really cool dude.

I'm all over the political spectrum and have been studying eastern philosophy and religion myself. I'm really curious about what you've found worthwhile! I started out devouring many a book on Taoism and Buddhism and have since found myself fascinated by different critiques of the self and the idea that the universe is much more than a collection of causally related objects.

And I look forward to the interview! I find myself wearing both economic left and right hats sometimes because they both make compelling arguments.

See if you can find audios of Ram Dass' talks from the late 60s and early 70s. Those helped me to go far down the path.

I will have to do that! I've been reading Watts a ton lately, but I've heard many great things about Ram Dass!

The lectures from the 60s are when he got back from India spending time with Neem Karoli Baba. Those are amazing.

You are never boring Pete! I hear you! You should do a show on your journey! I caught one of your shows where you mentioned Arthur Pink. :) Love to you and yours! What a year 2020!

Man, the philosophy episodes you do with Bird are some of my favorites. Sad to hear they're less popular than the rest, though not surprised either.

Thank you!!!

Pete, I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey that you, Bird, Vin, and others have been on. This New Normal was a wake up call for many of us. For years I felt man was ebbing toward paradigmatic shift or some sort of cosmic battle, and interestingly enough I became more religious because of that, and for many reasons it is justified. I mean look at the pictures of Klaus Schwab recently in his sith lord space wizard robes 🤣.

Anyway, you guys have been killing it lately. I always thought libertarians were missing some key insights and it's far more interesting to capture those divine sparks.

Do what you do! The Yarvin episode was great, his chats with Malice are great as well. It's all interesting, I dont know if I agree with Peterson doing the distorting, maybe I just dont know enough on the subject, but I have a feeling the midwits that regurgitate him pretending they know everything are the ones to distort what he is saying, he seems pretty versed on postmodernism. I dont think I ever skipped an episode due to the content, just multiple episodes go by before I get a chance to listen lol, I bounce around a lot between this type of content and business/leadership podcasts as I just hired my first person and am growing a company, but I feel like philosophy podcasts and others tie into business as well, my goal the last 8 years since sobering up is just gaining as much knowledge as possible and applying it where most beneficial, odd where certain things pop up you'd have never expected and lends to a better understanding and perspective on a situation. I literally can barely even watch movies or TV anymore, it just seems plastic, a show or movie has to be incredible for me to spend time doing that. Podcasts and audiobooks are all I find myself interested in.

I also think some of the episodes with Bird are some of the best because of how "exotic" and abstract the content was to me....even if I can't talk about them with my friends. ha. "The thinker thinks and the prover proves"
