I concluded my previous Substack with the statement, "I sometimes wish I could go back to sleep." I know the problems of today are not new (quite a few began many years ago), but life was simpler growing up in the 1980s. Girls were girls, and boys were boys. Sure, you saw the random crossdresser every once in a while if you grew up in a city, but the political gay liberation movement had not yet fully taken hold, and most of the issues we recognize as contributing to the slippery slope of outright insanity were still mostly hidden. As it always does, the Left's winning at politics happens very slowly at first and then seemingly all at once. To quote Curtis Yarvin, "Cthulhu may swim slowly. But he only swims left. Isn’t that interesting?"
So, about that chasm: How shall we now live? How shall we now even speak? What do you do when the regime in power is pushing cultural horrors that 30–35 years ago would have caused most people to rebel (maybe)? I believe the first step is to have a full and unwavering understanding that we are not the crazy ones. Whether it be gay male kindergarten teachers trying to teach your kids about sodomy, activists trying to convince your children they are another sex and need to begin irreversible medical treatments and procedures, or the fact that every brand you’ve given your money to for decades is now flying the colors of homosexuality, you must remember that everything I mentioned—and much more—isn’t normal. When asked what his principles were, Julius Evola stated, "My principles are only those that, before the French Revolution, every well-born person considered sane and normal." Our starting point should be sanity.
When the COVID insanity hit in 2020, many of us realized that the overwhelming majority of people were willing to bow down—destroying their wealth, health, and lives in many cases—to what even their local politicians demanded of them. If someone had told you in 2019 that "patriotic right-wingers" would "mask up" and/or lock themselves in their homes because politicians told them to, you probably would have thought that person was insane. But that’s what happened. Like myself, I’m sure many of you recognized at that point the chasm between your desires for "freedom," "liberty," or whatever term you chose and the desires of those around you. Many of us could have predicted, and expected, the overreach the State would attempt in the COVID scenario they created, but watching the reaction of our neighbors horrified us. Their reactions woke us up to the reality that the majority doesn’t desire what we do; they demand safety and security. And they are willing to destroy their lives and yours in the process to avoid feeling afraid.
Considering there are few people who share our values and on whom we can rely, I ask again, "How shall we now live?" The first word that comes to mind is boldly. And making the decision to call out the horrific propaganda the regime is shoving down our throats is the starting point. Finding people with whom you can fellowship, ones who also see this evil spirit for what it is, will increase your confidence. Knowing you're not alone in your thoughts and beliefs by engaging with people online is one thing; gathering with those face-to-face who share your values can be likened to recharging your battery. Just when you feel spiritually zapped by the insanity, a gathering of like-minded minds will recharge your battery like you wouldn’t believe. Even if people you meet in real life can’t articulate the Spirit of the Age like you can, just being around people who haven’t bought into the insanity is calming. I can’t express how important it is to engage with like-minded folk in real life. It’s the way we were meant to interact. Some say the internet has made the world a smaller place, but I can’t help but think it has widened the chasm between reality and fantasy. We must choose reality; it’s how we will preserve truth until the spirit this regime is pushing is defeated.
I was listening to Nikki Haley speak when it occurred to me how fucking fringe I am. There are ppl who i used to think that i alligned with who would happily vote for her.
Fox News highlights "good gays" for Pride month.
Our neighbor policemen who share our values in their personal lives would protect Antifa's "rights" to block traffic over my right to move freely.
At least i have a social circle of normies, but sometimes i just have to quietly shake my head at some of the shit they buy into.
Yes, the Evola quote and the Yarvin quote are both great. But, the Pete quote wins the inner-webs for today: "Even if people you meet in real life can’t articulate the Spirit of the Age like you can, just being around people who haven’t bought into the insanity is calming. I can’t express how important it is to engage with like-minded folk in real life. It’s the way we were meant to interact."
