They’re not principled, they’re the enemy. I hate that this is true, but it is. What else is there to call someone who would stand on the sideline while their allies are being mowed down and the world burns around them laughing and repeating, “I told you so,” like some goddamned highbrow mantra?

In Aesop’s war of the Birds of the Air and the Beasts of the Ground the libertarian is the bat.

This current scenario is the “issue coalition” of a lifetime, regarding the proverbial “freedom in our lifetime” trope. They don’t really want it. I’ll go a step further and bring your attention to something you’ve pointed at in the past; The liberty movement, and the party, are openly atheistic. This is undoubtedly a major contributing factor in the refusal to align with the Right. Those degenerate leftist parasites they just rid themselves of... it turns out they fear their scorn, more the state kicking in doors.

Mainline Republicans are openly and consistently talking about eliminating the FBI, ATF, IRS, currency manipulation, auditing the Fed, ending the wars, abandoning the schools, and literally using the word decentralization on Fox fucking news. In short; the Ron Paul agenda. Yet, the new Ron Paul movement 2.whatevs won’t touch it with a ten foot pole. They’re ridiculous.

What is it Malice says? “They want you dead, but they’ll accept your submission.”

What you say about allying with people who go to church and believe in traditional family is why I can’t write off the NatCons even though I find their nationalism and anti-China rhetoric noxious.

Professing neutrality certainly accomplishes nothing and indeed arguably tends to lead to mushy thinking and bad decisions. That said, I would point out that divide & conquer is the coin of the realm. It is used both to create internal divisions and to scare Americans into fearing various external enemies - the "terrorists", China, Putin, Saddam, global warming - whatever. The list is endless. My advice would be to attempt to avoid taking their coin. When speaking with Americans, even with leftists, I have found that there is often a surprising openness to consider the possibility that they have been played; namely, that maybe their whole red vs. blue political system is in fact a scam designed to maintain the power of a tiny group of people. If they are frustrated enough, maybe just maybe they will seriously consider the possibility that this is true.

Could not allying with them now look less like voting and more like non compliance? Could not we get them to join us in not complying with bullshit mandates, etc? Just curious because if all we have is voting and voting is rigged for the other side, what's the point?
