For all the talk I hear coming from the Jews about how Palestine is actually their land, because it goes back thousands of years, Vladimir Putin did an excellent job of explaining HIS claim on Ukraine as it also goes back 1500 years. I enjoyed the interview and the history lesson. Whatever one may come away with, whether or not someone finds Putin's claims credible or not, a couple of things are undeniable: He is a very serious statesman who does not speak in campaign slogan euphemisms. He knows and loves his country, history and people, and has no patience for people who do not take their political duties as serious as he does. I actually found Tucker to be a bit rude as he kept cutting him off and asking about this history lesson. Maybe it is because Tucker is used to dealing with simple minded American politicians who speak in moronic slogans or just filibuster with nonsense. Whatever may be said, we got a window into the East and the Eastern mind and they have eclipsed the West in being a civilization which desires another 1000 years of flourishing.
Putin is just a joy to listen to as a man of his people. He is no clown. If you are interested, head to the Kremlin's main website and check out his talks, from the Valdai Conference (his annual economic meeting with partner nations) to just various other issues within the country.
What’s sad is you would probably have to go back all the way to Nixon (maybe Ford) to have a president that could go through America’s history just off the cuff like that
Pete your assessment is spot on. My son and I were discussing this just last night how no president in remotely recent history that I could think of knows their history like that.
The most interesting thing about the interview is that it happened at all and when it happened. The narrative and reaction to the interview matters more then the content.
If you followed The Duran for the past two years, you’d know Putin is fine and a super busy leader. They read out Putin’s speeches and reports daily. Most Americans are just ignorant on purpose.
Also, the fact that Zelenskyy has added Tucker to his kill list is absurd. Imagine if every single reporter in America or beyond or any other nation, who, challenged the government's narratives were placed on a terrorist kill list. How can anyone hear that information and not see (see what I did there) who the mad authoritarian dictator is?
I think Tucker got more eyes on it. I didn't hear any real surprises in this interview. However, bringing up the Russian history of land entitlement is a pretty good direction. He has far more ethical and historically verifiable rights to ownership than say Israel has on the land they are occupying. I think it's a great interview for merely the sake of that argument to intertwine into conversations with people who support Israel.
The most amazing part is that it happened at all, and of course multiple journos posted on Twitter that they too had been asking for an interview, while everyone on their side calls Tucker a traitor who should be punished, because he actually did it.
The exposure of the truth is good, like showing you how the west stepped in to stop peace to get a war they of course needed to fund. The issue with this tidbit of info is all of the tedious discussion it takes to get there. Therefore, every day people will not really notice the significance of that small area of discussion lost in the middle.
I did appreciate Tucker asking about the release of the journo, if for any reason to take some of the bite out of other journo's reaction to this as it's hard to frame this as strictly some right wing "Putin Puppet" interview by a traitor. Smart to say the least.
So it happened, and that's a big deal. The details won't matter much to normies. I do wonder if that info will be used to lower or stop the funding from the US, which is under discussion of course.
That is amusing. “Tucker out of his league,” I definitely don’t disagree. Don’t know who that John fellow is but I’ll look him up. Tucker did look a bit uncomfortable, I agree it didn’t seem like there was “anything there” I almost didn’t finish the 2 hr interview.
Why bother with an interpreter? He speaks English.
I was one of the people suggesting a commentary of some kind, but I agree that I don't think it warrants an entire episode. Your bulleted commentary is plenty and covers exactly the stuff I was interested in hearing your perspective on.
There is no reason for an episode on this. Don't waste your time - do what you do best. You've been killing it lately so your instincts are good

The only thing worthy of commentary is the establishment reaction to the whole thing.

Sometimes Tucker is out of his league. That happened when he interviewed Doug Mesner (AKA Lucien Greaves) also.
Pete, how do I get into the telegram chat
