Although I’m fascinated by the substack phenomenon, especially in light of Greenwald, I’m not sure how the pay structure is going to work out. Taibbi and Greenwald (I paid to subscribe to Matt’s feed a few months ago, and just supported Glenn) have extensive networks and have provided amazing investigative reporting over the last decade. I can understand paying a few dollars a month for one incredibly detailed and deeply researched article each month, or a great essay each week, or some sick memes every day...but that used to be called a newspaper.
What do you think of the prospect of an Ungovernable...I mean, liberty focused substack that aggregated work from a few lower profile individuals (such as yourself, no offense intended) and shared the proceeds. A few individuals that agreed on the major issue- freedom, but disagree on nuances and applications, posting articles and then subsequent rebuttals and clarifications...with the sense of humor and comradeship that libertarians embrace even when we tell you that you’re NOT A LIBERTARIAN!
You’ve provided me with some fantastic food for thought in the past (Mance, RIP) and I’m going to support your substack for now, but when my monthly subscription bill hits triple digits I don’t know what to do.
