The tweet didn't make any sense and this long version confirms it.
Just because americans can't do it right, it doesn't mean there's something fundamentally wrong with it. It's a simple, straightforward process:
1. Register to vote
2. Show up on election day and identify yourself
3. Fill out a piece of paper and put it in a box
4. Count the pieces of paper.
Lots of places in the world do it right for decades. It's not rocket science. The US is just a total disaster on the subject, worse than some 3rd world countries I know.
Just a final comment on that whole "why would you be afraid to let people know how you vote" insanity in the age of cancel culture: I don't believe you are that naive so you must be trolling.
Since you only commented on the "secret vote" part, I assume you understood that it's perfectly possible to have accurate election results with secret voting which is exactly what happens in many countries that take the issue seriously, so your main point - "As long as the ballot is secret you can never be sure that the numbers are correct" - makes no sense.
About the secret voting being necessary because of "cancel culture", maybe I should expand a little on that just in case someone who was in a coma for the last few years just comes out of it and reads this. When I say "cancel culture" I mean people getting fired, harassed, persecuted over their political opinions. That does not happen in the US only. It's happening right now in countries I know in Latin America and Europe. What do you think would happen if voting was public?
I have the same thoughts about most modern 'science.' Clear thoughts- thanks.
People believe a lot...but know little.

"Straightforward" process, buuuuuuuut keep it secret because... "cancel culture." Thanks for proving my point. 🤣🤣
