I've been seeing ppl on the right say things that sound like online tankies in regards to the plight of the palestinians. Fuck the palestinians. I don't give a shit about their plight.
Being against Israel is fine, being against them bc they oppress a minority that is constantly pulling fuckshit is just gay. This whole thing is gay.
All these people with strong opinions all of a sudden, where were their tears for the palestinians in the times between the news cycle told them it was time to care about palestinians?

The frightening thing in all this is how much our media and govts have decimated our trust. It’s to the point that the American govt could nuke a major city in America and more than half the people wouldn’t believe it and would still support the govt. To me, that’s what makes this degradation of the media so awful. The fact they can use AI to doctor photos of anything so accurately now… and everyone knows it…. It’s ironic that it used to be that social media and independent media held the feet to the fire of those who used to be able to hide atrocities by buying up the media outlets or just “informing” them of whatever was “true.” But now, and for some time, media, social, independent or otherwise is all so flawed that everyone takes a permanent stance of cognitive dissonance and can just default to whatever they wish was true. Not knowing is one thing. But not caring to know is another.
Israel is our greatest ally and it’s basically America in the Middle East. If we don’t give Israel all our money and weapons there will 100% be a nuclear WWIII against the Russians, who are literally Hitler. And The Squad loves Palestinians, so that means they’re literally communists. And also literally the Nazis, too. It all adds up if you think about it. Only people who love Nazis, genocide, rape, and baby murder could possibly disagree.
Eh, whatever you see on propaganda outlets is what they want you to believe, and that is orthogonal to truth. You can speculate about whether it's true separately from speculating about why they want you to believe it.
Or you can ask what you'd do if it is true - in this case nothing, because there is nothing to be done.
My take is to just put a pin in all of this and worry about whether the propaganda is working, and where that leads.
