I always recommend homeschool and I remind everyone that where there is a will there is a way. Most homeschool families sacrifice in ways others haven’t considered. They have maybe one car, maybe they have no babysitters or date nights ever. And on that note, if one is a single parent who has a job looking to homeschool despite the obvious conflict of schedule, REACH OUT on FB to homeschooling networks and meet them TODAY! After work, on the weekends, meet these families. There is a 99.95% these mothers need a night off to get their nails done, a weekend off, a date night to save their challenged, sexless marriages. They won’t say it. When you and your kids start to get to know them and their kids, offer respite on your inconvenient for homeschool hours. See if they will barter for homeschooling your kids. We did just that two years ago with another working homeschool family. I took their girls during the week and they took our boys off our hands on the weekends. It IS possible. But like all things NEW NORMAL we have to be creative and think beyond your old normal to get there. Homeschooling doesn’t happen by magic for anyone. I don’t hate people. I offer solutions and if their priorities are truly in order, they will, like others, find a way. If they are waiting for stare pedos to set up a babysitting system in their honor, they get that, I presume.
