Sounds like a great idea for a script but it has one flaw that I'm sure you can correct. Unlike the many examples of dystopian fiction you mentioned where the rebels consist mostly of young people, your movie depicts old fart libertarians as the resistance while the young people buy into the propaganda, live in fear, and cower before the state.
