On a podcast I listened to last week (don't remember which), someone brought up something to this effect: "Pre-1775, there were groups of citizens meeting in pubs and living rooms. Discussing concepts, building community, offering support, etc. Where are these people now?" In a way, the fact that they are asking that question makes me glad they're unaware of such groups. It was also a white pill moment for me because I don't often consider how profound it is to simply associate with people exercising critical thought and building something for the future, and I know many, many people are now doing this regularly.

It’s funny, I don’t know when you interviewed me (before the last election) and I told you that Trump getting re-elected would be a bad thing for that exact reason. I don’t think I used the term deradicalized but I remember telling you that the right letting their guard down would be bad for everyone. That having an alleged right wing POTUS gives a false sense of security and the right wing goes to sleep. We can’t afford that. The worst thing about the right is that they haven’t had the BDS the way the left embraced TDS. Biden isn’t polarizing enough because he’s not running the country and everyone knows it. The right NEEDS a LeftDS wherein, they freak out over anyone on the left or even with a hint of leftism. They NEED to "over" act like it’s worth burning the whole house to kill a spider. They need to be more afraid of the consequences of tolerating leftism. I think the right is afraid of feeling that way. It’s like a monster who knows it is a monster and doesn’t want to know what happens if it starts getting angry. Like the dormant state of the Hulk, the Bruce Banner. The right doesn’t want to let the Hulk out. Jekyll afraid of Hyde. But the Hulk is ultimately a hero. So, it’s long overdue. That’s the only green movement the world needs right now.
