It’s easy to identify your “enemy” as a nebulous blob. This is what so many do when, for example , they claim that if only “The State” could be removed, most of their problems would be solved. But what is “The State”? And how do you “remove” it?" Removing a government program like the African Slave Trade was only accomplished after a group of states formed their own nation which was then invaded and subjugated. Not that the invasion was meant to end slavery. That’s a myth. The slave trade ended because the states in which slavery existed were defeated and destroyed (there’s more to this but I don’t want to get into the weeds about Grant still having slaves at the end of the war, yada yada). So, if a government program could only be removed after a war that killed almost a million souls, what will be required to end THE STATE (did the ‘Civil War’ answer that question)?
Obviously, ending The State is a fantasy (one I used to buy into) so the question is: who is the real enemy? I’ll leave the answer to that for you to decide. The point I am making here is that once you figure out who the enemy is, and NAME them, you’ve crossed the Rubicon. This of course relies upon the fact that one is serious about taking the enemy on and doing what must be done to defeat them. It’s is a daunting task and quite dangerous considering the current regime in charge. There are so many enemies to fight that many people tend to fall back to concentrating on insurmountable tasks such as “taking down the government,” or impossible ones like “destroying power.” And if they are chanting hyperbolic statements such as these, they are guaranteed to fail as goals must be broken down into bite-sized chunks.
If a person or group believes that the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is an enemy that must be defeated to achieve their goals, detailed plans would have to be drawn up to even begin a war. Lawyers, accountants, and forensic investigators would have to be hired to probe the SPLC to discover where their vulnerabilities lie. If evidence of improprieties, ethical violations, or whatever were revealed that harmed the SPLC, the next step would be to devise plans on how to use this information to defeat them. I hope you can see what I’m getting at here. Mindlessly screaming about how the “government needs to be taken down” without having a detailed plan to carry that out is no different than a football team going into a game with no scouting report on the opposing players and coaching staff. Lack of a well thought out plan for the offense to defeat their defense, or vice versa, guarantees defeat. In fact, you will be a laughingstock and no one will take you seriously.
All this raises the question as to whether anyone who is seriously mouthing off about “defeating this regime,” or “fighting the CIA,” should be taken seriously unless they have a detailed, fleshed out plan as to how to do it. I’m reminded of the South Park episode, “Die, Hippie Die,” in which Stan and Kyle are convinced by a bunch of college students about the dangers of growing corporate power, and the college students answer as to how to take down the corporations is to throw a “Hippie Music Festival.” That’s it. Their answer is to just play shitty, jam band music. So much of that energy can be seen in the “just destroy power, man,” attitude.
My earlier Substack sought to provide realistic suggestions as to how I am personally dealing with what I view as a tyrannical regime that has made it clear that because of my political beliefs, I am viewed as not only their enemy, but also as a “bad person.” All because I question their motives and actions. I’m not saying you must take my suggestions seriously, only that I have plans that are fleshed out and are achievable in reality. Whether you believe these will help you achieve your goals is for you to decide. I only hope that you recognize that there are some people contemplating our current reality in more realistic ways than others. If you are on my side of the friend/enemy distinction, I want the best for you and unlike the proverbial State agent knocking at your door, I really am here to help.
Ah, the synchronicities of the universe...just watched Die, Hippie, Die last night, it's amazing to me how spot on many of the early seasons of South Park were. But, I digress....
I just want to add that your plan doesn't have to star you, be driven entirely by you, from your doorstep to the pinnacle of the globohomo elite...How do you eat an elephant? A bite at a time.
Your plan should start with an honest self assessment of your skills, weaknesses, time, resources, and how far you're willing to go. Start with yourself and the things you can change now and work into the rest. Simply attending school board, city council, county commissioner, etc meetings gets the ball rolling. Then start asking questions, then introduce topics to the agenda, maybe then run for a spot.
If i were a billionaire i'd create a gawker that focused on anyone who has power within the regime. I'd have paparazzi types following everyone from politicians and reporters and professors to gs 15s, ngo employees , charities and appointees.
Why? Because literally no one actually names them. No real actual people who arent politicians ever get blame for the harm they cause. All of them are safe in their anonymity. They all need to be made famous, imo.
I support your efforts Pete and please let us all know if we can help go on the offense.
