Blah, blah, blah. I’ve been called everything from homophobic and transphobic to Ukraino-phobic, and so on and so forth. Claiming that your opponent is afraid of something paints them as cowards AND ignorant rubes who, if they took the time to learn about the subject or person, would no longer be paralyzed by it or them. Using the term "phobic" in any way, shape, or form isn’t meant to change the person’s mind the term is directed towards; it’s meant to demonize you to the onlooker or to virtue signal to their in-crowd. Hence, I don’t care what you call me.
And, if I’m being honest; I’m disgusted by the LGBTQ-LMNOP activist, groomer, or straight up pedophile. The term "righteous anger" comes to mind. So yeah, someone using a term ending in "phobic" means nothing to me. Painting my disgust as fear doesn’t give you any power.
In the 19th Century Harvard and Yale required that students already know Greek and Latin to even be admitted as freshmen. Those requirements are long gone. Today, most people only know a single Greek vocabulary word: "phobia". What is the Greek word for "disgust"? One can't express subtle shades of meaning if one doesn't know any words.
Damn Straight!
