It’s a question that requires no thought experiments, no hypotheticals. It does require the ability to place safety and order above whatever fantastical principles you may entertain. But it should come down to the reality of the world in which we live and the hope for a future of flourishing and peace.
If you know that you are surrounded by people who have abandoned caring about building a culture of peace and order, why would you want to import outsiders who will only increase their numbers?
That’s it; that's the question. And it’s the only one that matters when it comes to immigration—legal or not. Fuck economics and fuck all of your graphs and charts. Do you want peace and order, or do you want to continue down the road of pure chaos?
Well said. It really is that simple. We want to live in a country with a culture of peace and stability. These aren't ambitious goals or impossible achievements, yet our ruling elite have deemed it out of reach at this time. "Because we live here and want things this way" is a perfectly acceptable reason.
And if you can't understand that, you're the problem.
