When im making a new friend, i'll often throw in some no-no words in my conversation to see their reaction. If they are offended, then i get done with them early.

I once saw a prominent rw twitter anon make this point about possible pretenders to the space. To paraphrase, if they never tweet stuff that can get be considered too spicy for the normies, they probably aren't one of us.

I do that too. It’s a good strategy, I don’t give up my whole power level but it’s a good toe in the water :)

This is a exactly what’s I’ve been doing since the lockdowns started and I had my reality melted as to how many Sheeple there are in this society. Previously I had a very weak filter for people who I allowed into my personal life and become long term friends with. Now I have a strong filter for people I might have a 5 minute conversation with. The filters get tighter the more I let that person into my life and we’ve gotta be a few beers in before I even think about starting to reveal my power level.

If I could drop multiple likes on this, I would. Everything here is right on target, and it's indeed as insidious as you describe.

Spot on.

And, after you notice it in yourself it becomes blatantly apparent in others...it is truly mind blowing how much most people self censor to make others 'feel better', stay on the the 'right side' of history, or obscure their true message.

I struggle to consistently craft my unapologetic language such that I cannot maintain a Twitter account for more than 90 days.

Thank you, Pete for reminding us of this. The self censorship is something I first started to notice once Trump got in but after the lockdowns of course it became extreme.

Ive taken to filtering people out very early on to see if we’re at least on the same page about the general fuckery that is afoot in the current collapse before sniffing for signs of TDS. Once I’ve gotten the vibe that I’m in friendly territory I slowly make contact until I feel comfortable enough revealing my power level.

It’s become a very short list but the people who I do meet are now people I know far more deeply because we both share a secret, we both understand the other in a way that outsiders can’t, and we know we’re on the same side of opposing the largest trillion dollar 5th Generation warfare psyop in human history.

Those are much better friends to have than the people in the office I spent years saying hi to at the coffee machine at my old job.

True friends are the ones you DO NOT have to self censor around. That’s also why I think that Urbit is going to explode in the next 12-18 months.

Urbit is a brand new better internet and distributed computer founded by Curtis Yarbin aka Mencius Moldbug whom you’ve had on as a guest before. He worked in it for at least 15 years.

The second that a decentralized encrypted open source version of Slack/Discord goes live on Urbit, the online censorship that prevents forming truly private online communities will be rendered mathematically cryptographically technologically fucked forever.

Balaji Srinivasan the author of The Network State. gave a talk at their recent Assembly Conference in Miami a few weeks ago about how Urbit could be used to potentially start a new online country that can do things like crowdfunding land purchases, coordinating civic functions, etc. well worth a listen.

IMHO it feels like Bitcoin circa 2011. If it delivers on even 1% of the promise of its potential that’s freedom for millions of us to form 1,000’s of our own independent real world communities all over the country and the world.

A 20 person community here a 50 person community there a 125 person community over there, etc. some very small others potentially very large 10,000+-100,000+ people the size of the smallest countries.

Basically what you and Dark Enlightenment spoke about in your recent episode about getting a couple dozen families together to agree to form their own community, this would allow for them to communicate with each other fully encrypted and only each other with zero outside interference hence they’d never have to worry about their organization being messed up due to the whims of some Big Tech oligarch or government official that doesn’t like their politics.

TL;DR Real true friends are the ones you never have to self censor around. Urbit will make it so that we can all find our real true friends and communicate with each other on a decentralized, fully encrypted platform, that we can 100% customize to our own liking because it’s all open source, and live our online lives free from any and all outside interference from GloboHomo. It’ll lead to the rise of the first Network States fully online countries that will start to crowdfund purchase of land for their citizens in the real world. It feels like Bitcoin circa 2011 and if it delivers on even 1% of its promise in 2023 then it’ll free millions of us in a matter of months. I strongly encourage all Frog Frens with any IT background to consider looking deeper into it because the more Frog brains we have on it the faster we can build our own ladder to get out of this quicksand collapsing mess of a civilization.

Yes! It takes practice to break free of the habit of self-censorship, but once you recognize what you are doing, you realize you are living in fear and it feels gross, compromising yourself and the truth. There's nothing wrong with choosing your words carefully and which truths to share in which situation, but refusing to use qualifiers is liberating.
