What Would It Take For Me To Support The LP?

I’m going to be purposely vague in the beginning here. In the next year there will be news out of a certain LP camp that will no doubt get many people in the so-called “Liberty Movement” excited. I’m trying to process it but I have some general thoughts while continuing with my “vague-stacking.” Guess all you want but even if you contact me with the right prediction, I’ll deny it.

As many of you know, I have switched to a more practical approach when it comes to my ideology. My opinion is that more freedom can only be won individually at this moment in the Dim Age. I also advise that like-minded people form small groups (John Bush calls them Freedom Cells) and am in the process of helping get an existing one moving forward right now. I could be wrong but I’m working with the evidence I have. If more is presented to me that convinces me otherwise, I’ll alter my opinion. I believe that’s what rational people do. But to keep my focus on promoting an anarchist or libertarian society seems like living in Fantasyland, especially when you examine the last nine months.

Let’s address the title of this article. I wrote a piece last week titled, “The Libertarian Party Will Never Have Political Power,” and it caused a bit of a stir. The spirit of it is that the Non-Aggression Principle precludes the LP from doing the dirty, backroom deals that a party must to consolidate power culminating in it getting its agenda done politically. I stand by that as one who is learning more and more every day the Machiavellian nature of political power.

I am in no way delusional enough to believe an LP presidential candidate could generate enough interest to be elected to the White House. I’m also skeptical of the whole “education” excuse as the LP candidate can barely get mainstream news coverage much less get on a debate stage. So, what could I get behind in an LP presidential candidate? A bomb-thrower. And not End the Fed or End the Wars. Those should be there but only as a symptom of the malignant cancer.

The first thing I would like to see is someone who calls out the political Left, the Cathedral, as the most dangerous group when it comes to our very survival as humans. That would begin with a purging of the insane Left, and Neo-liberal faction from the LP’s own ranks. If you have to tell me what your pronouns are in your social media bio you are a delusional psychopath and you need to go. That is their attitude towards anyone who is Right of Bernie so why the hell are you even going to play them/their games? Change or get out! I’m even for keeping tankies around as long as they haven’t bought into the woke BS because if they have, they aren’t radicals. They’re as mainstream as Nike or Trader Joe’s. Radicals are always needed. And the Neo-liberal, boring Prags? Bye!

Name your enemy (there are many but you must have a starting point). A targeted message against the Left establishment needs to be developed. The Neo-liberal press, universities and administrative State must be called out on a daily basis for who they are and a message must be crafted that the LP is willing to ally with anyone who sees them as the ultimate threat to life and flourishing. I mean, it’s a “Big Tent,” right? This is how political power is built and consolidated. The days of a squishy “peace” message are over. The bombs keep dropping, the wealth keeps redistributing and people are locking themselves in their homes on the advice of murderers and lunatics. “Peace?” Please!

Does the LP want exposure? How about their message piercing the Overton Window? That’s how culture shifts, that’s how it moves. And it’s not going to do that unless the gloves come off. Taxation may be theft but the people at large don’t see it that way anymore than they care to be lectured to about being “actively anti-racist.” Strategy is as important, or even more important, as the message but that seems to escape the “nice folks” at the LP. When bombs are thrown, people pay attention. They snap-to even more when they're thrown with precision and they're targeting their perceived enemy.
