“We’re gonna win” is a common phrase in our corner of the internet. Behind it is the basic assumption that we’re losing. I don’t think we are. I believe most of the people reading this are winning in their personal and professional lives. That means, as individuals, we are winning, but we haven’t taken the time to bond with others to begin the process of becoming a collective that needs to be reckoned with.
I have begun to follow on X/Twitter many of the “tech-bros,” or as some call them, “The PayPal Mafia,” and just observing their attitudes as to what they say they want to accomplish is a White Pill. Not that I agree with everything they want to do, just that they don’t let excuses get in their way. If something does get in their way, they seek to remove the obstacle or push through it.
This is about the time someone mentions that they have billions in resources at their disposal. Yeah, and? I wouldn’t argue that some accumulated that capital in nefarious ways. But did they all? I don’t think someone could get to where they are by making excuses and claiming victimhood. They just did what needed to be done.
Is culture important? Yes. And we can build a culture that we want that opposes the one that’s been forced upon us for the last 100 years. But we need successful people in solidarity with one another to do it. The excuses are myriad, and we’ve all made them. That’s behind us now. Absent direct attacks from regime agents, there are no excuses. I feel like enough have been made, and it’s time to push through. It would be too easy to make the excuse that we don’t have billions while there are countless others who don’t and succeed. Power is had by those who want it and act to take it. There’s a vacuum building. Fill it.
Absolutely. You're going to get, exactly what you are willing to accept. No more, no less.
I’ve been following the Pay Pal Mafia on Twitter since you interviewed some of them. They’re very smart and on to something positive.
