Consider what you want for yourself and your family. Everyone thinks about the future. Everyone dreams about what their kids will be like when they get older. People ponder the kind of life they’ll have when their kids are out of the house.
Now ask yourself if you’re thinking about that currently? Not every once in a while, but is it constant. Now, ask yourself another question; are you hopeful or are you worried?
YOU have plans and hopes for the future, all of the things I mentioned above. But the people that are subjecting you to lockdowns, potential jab mandates for you AND your kids, they don’t care about your future. They don’t care about your happiness. They don’t share in the hopes you have for your children’s future. On the contrary, if you hold a political opinion opposed to theirs, they’re openly hostile to you and would not flinch at taking your kids from you. That’s not hyperbole. I wish it was.
If this is where you’re at, if you’ve lost the ability to have hope for the future of yourself and your family, I understand. It’s easy to look at November 2021, compare it to January 2020, and feel completely defeated. I was too for a while. This meme is my daily struggle:
But I’ve found a realistic goal to concentrate on. Something that is achievable and increases my chances of getting through this hell. Remember, they can’t do COVID throughout the US forever. Sure, NYC, Chicago and San Francisco may buy into it forever, but most places will let it pass. But then there’s the growing “climate hysteria.” They saw the weakness of the majority, fear, and are going to play it for all its worth. That doesn’t have to be you.
I can’t tell you what your goal should be to combat this. Mine is something I believe most people wouldn’t consider, but you can win for you and your family. I wrote this to point out that there’s a war on your happiness, your prosperity, and you have to realize that. But only you can decide how you get through it. Getting through it and being happy and successful is the best weapon you can form against these people who only want to control you and your mind. Just win. Their plans for you will defeat you mind, body and soul.
A good reminder. Being awake to the reality of the horrors of the sociopolitical situation is an important thing, but it's easy to get so focused on the rage and despair they illicit (by design) that we can forget that we still have our own actual, temporal and resource limited lives to lead. We can't ONLY be anti evil, authoritarian, etc., we MUST also be pro happiness, freedom, etc.. The State, in all it's forms and machinations LOVES our fear and hatred, it can absorb as much as we can generate, and it thrives on it like a supernatural movie villain. We can't ignore it, because it can still destroy us, but, ultimately, we have to turn away from it as individuals, gain skills, create communities, become prosperous, and let the beast wither and die under it's own oppressive weight. If we only train for battle, we're only going to be good for fighting and what sort of world would we then create if, by some miracle, we happened to "win"?
I always try to focus on my goals, on what’s next. It seems to help me stay ahead of the curve.
