The Woke Idiots Are Everywhere - And They Control The Message
“Oh c’mon Pete, this is a great Tweet. What’s your problem?!” Well, my problem is that I happen to know that the one state where you would think the Libertarian Party (LP) would be based as fuck is instead a bunch of woke-bougie-progs. Yes, the Lone Star State, where “everything is bigger,” has a “big” problem with members suffering from the “woke cancer” plaguing the culture.
This Tweet by the LP Texas is not an anti-government message. It is meant to deflect away from the fact that they endorse Critical Race Theory (CRT) being taught in schools. They just mentioned the government to suck in those who will instinctively be like, “Oh, an anti-government Tweet, I smash like button.” No, these woke progressives disguising themselves as libertarians know exactly what they’re doing and managed to get many people I respect to just hit like and retweet because that’s what we do unconsciously.
Another problem I have with this tweet is that it’s meaningless. I’ve come to the conclusion that messaging like this is just useless. Sure, let’s get government out of schools. I think it’s a great idea. OK, how? I’m waiting *Tick tock*! Does anyone believe that if Ron Paul actually did get elected in 2012 he would’ve been able to separate the State from the schools? I don’t think so. And why wouldn’t he have been able to? Because the people don’t want that. They want the State to be in charge of education. If we’re not taking the desires of the culture into consideration we’re screaming into the void.
Last summer when I started talking about agorism, many people were attracted to the ideas because they’re practical. They’re something you can actually do where you believe you’re making a difference. That’s where our concentration must shift. If we convince someone to accept the message that the State should not be in charge of education, they almost immediately ask what can be done to get the State out. The obvious answer is to home-school but not everyone is going to be down with home-schooling. Therefore we should have a strategy set up for what we’re preaching. And it needs to be something other than “go out there and tell people the State should not be in charge of schooling” because in today’s world most people want to be told what to do to solve a problem. If we are just shouting platitudes that sound good, even making people want to take action, having a plan in place for them to run with just makes sense. Otherwise we’re just theory wonks living in Fantasyland.
