… Kelli and I will be preparing for the long drive to Texas for Chillderberg (probably our last getaway for some time with the move and all) while getting some preparations done on the house we just bought. If something comes up that I feel the need to talk about, I’ll post it, but other than dropping early episodes for paid subscribers, I won’t be consistent with posting until after the long holiday weekend.
I know I’ve said this before, but with a holiday weekend coming up where you may be around friends and family, it bears repeating. You’re not your political beliefs, so if you haven’t already, please stop making them your identity. You are a man or woman, a husband or wife, a mother or father, a son or daughter. Politics always appears hopeless. By identifying with your political beliefs, hopelessness can possess you and rob you of the happiness and joy that are all around us. If you can’t find happiness and joy, you may be allowing yourself to be overcome by political dread. STOP IT! Search out what is beautiful and good! Do that every day and see if it doesn’t keep a smile on your face.
But anarchy is the opposite of political, Pete! LOL! Have a fun vacation-she said from a feather bed in McCall, Idaho on Payette Lake- absolutely the most stunning location in the entire world- at least that I have ever seen. And because it’s technically still the off season- we have it all to ourselves. No one else is here!
Have a fun and safe trip, Pete and Kelli!
