Change rarely happens via law. If you want to point out Roe v. Wade or Obamacare, you are only proving my point. These are outliers, which is why they come to mind so easily. Change happens when someone says, No!
What is happening with Governor Hot Wheels and Sleepy Joe could all be theater. It’s likely it’s purely political and non-ideological, but that’s hardly the point. Certain people are watching and seeing which way the wind is blowing. A weak government as such is ripe for a “circulation of the elites.” Potential lawfare means nothing. If Governor Wheels “stands” his ground and continues to say no, interesting things can happen in our interesting times.
What do we do in the meantime? Spend time with your family. Read a book with them. Love one another. This is only January. The ride has just begun.
We'll see. I know Abbot is lame but if he manages to not be gay (big ask lol...) and hold his ground on this situation (and something very passive aggressive like one side puts down wire and the other immediately removes it ad infinitum doesn't happen) I can't see this not escalating. If the Feds give in there will be blood in the water and they have to know it, their deteriorating soft power would crumble and fall into the sea over night.
We have no elites on our side, and don’t say Musk. He wants radical change as much as he wants a root canal. You don’t get radical change from populism wo elite backers. We ain’t got it.
