First, I was a Saddam apologist, then an Assad “toady” and now a Putin stan. Of course, I’ve also been an anti-science-anti-masker, an anti-vaxxer and someone not willing to be a martyr for the .03% of the people who succumbed to the virus after contracting it. I’m just a selfish individualist who doesn’t play well with others.
That would be correct, I don’t play well with people who wish to control every aspect of my life. With the exception of a couple lunatics on the Right who still believe in conscription (and I’m past that age), the people who want to control me are on the Left. It’s why I give them no quarter and consider them beyond redemption without overwhelming proof of their repentance. People who have literally called for your destruction don’t get the benefit of the doubt.
This Russia/Ukraine situation has brought out the Cold War fever in so many, even people I like and respect. “I stand with Ukraine”! Why? They are one of the biggest centers of human trafficking in the world. They are one of the most corrupt nations on the planet. Does anyone remember Burisma? They are essentially another client State of the US government and elites. Do I want innocent people to die? No. Is this my fight in any way, shape or form even though I am almost half Ukrainian? Again, no.
We are being assaulted with one crisis after another and being told we have to take a side. And if we choose in a way the Left/Regime deems immoral, we are demonized. You see this, right? We are being kept in a perpetual state of panic which isn’t healthy mentally or physically. I believe the most important thing is to know where you stand, to be centered. As the assault is waged on you, you will always be balanced. This is the key to staying sane in an insane world in my opinion.
Go Pete! Tried to like but didn’t work.
