Be Hopeful, But Don't Be Complacent

I know that I’ve tried to provide some hope lately when it comes to the times we’re living in but don’t for one second let your guard down. The language coming out of the “Cathedral” is dangerous. While they will be the first to tell you their enemies on the Right have been radicalized and are therefore savages that need to be watched, they are in the process of doing that to their acolytes. Look at the headline of this article:
While I think the empire is dying, do not for one second think they are still not a danger. A mortally wounded rattlesnake lashing out in its death throes will still kill you. These journalists, who are the literal meme of the “keyboard warrior,” have set their sights on people who are not in line with their thinking down to the very jot and tittle.
Don’t let your guard down. They want a war, and if they can provoke enough people they may get their wish. Make sure you are not collateral damage. Or at least, know what could be coming and when.
The honorable “brave men and women” who refuse their edicts will be replaced by those who will. Power can always find people willing to carry out edicts no matter how awful by hypnotization or desperation. An ensemble of security precautions that extend past the physical space into the legal, financial, informational, and psychological dimensions is required for individuals and networks. If you aren’t worth the trouble (hard target) power abuse flows to the vulnerable and most efficient use (like anything else). As your influence or perceived “dissidence” grows, the more they are willing to compromise their “rules” as a inconvenient exception to keep a “civilized society” to neutralize you. Filtered, decentralized networks can go a long way in helping build immunity. As they over step to remove one, they are replaced by 10 with more conviction and more strength to stand up to legacy power. They will be making martyrs. Our goal is to make sure when they are dumb enough to make that mistake they pay for it to worst way: power transfer. Simple to say, hard to do, and it won’t be happening in a weekend (probably decades). The exposure of the cathedral’s role to rationalize the immorality of the power structure is a galvanizing force, but as Pete says, understanding and respecting your adversaries capabilities is required. Let their ignorance of us be their undoing, not the other way around. Godspeed.
