A Phenomenal Weekend
Traveling to places you’ve never been before to talk to like-minded people is the best part of what I do. For those who don’t know, I was in Port Orchard, WA, delivering a speech at the Libertarian Party Washington State convention on a night sponsored by the Mises Caucus. The video is on their Facebook page, and I’ll probably upload my speech here later in the week.
I was able to connect with people I’ve been friends with online for years but never met face-to-face which produced tears. I also experienced one of the most beautiful places scenery-wise I’ve ever been to (and I’ve seen the Alps).
All-in-all it was a huge white-pill experience.
Now for the bad. The COVID-religion is strong there. Those highway message thingy signs all said “Even if you’re vaccinated you have to wear your mask.” The irony of having to wear a mask into a weed shop didn’t escape me. Maybe this really speaks to federalism and how I recently went to Florida and the businesses that had signs weren’t enforcing them. Same with Alabama.
Either way, it was a great experience and even though the scenery took my breath away, if the only experience I had was spending time with like-minded psychopaths it was worth it.
Would do again, 10/10!
